Summer Camp registration now open!

The Wellington County Museum and Archives (WCMA) offers both PA Day Camp and Summer Camp throughout the year that encourages Campers to learn while having fun, building crafts, exploring experiments, and playing games.

July 7 - 11: Desert Retreat

Deserts come in all shapes and sizes, hot and cold. This week we explore the fascinating life that has adapted to live in these extreme climates. From Antarctica to the Sahara, discover the animals and plants that call deserts home!

July 14 - 18: Artistic Alley - WEEK FULL

It’s time for an art attack! Express yourself through paint, fabric, drama and dance in this week of Camp. Grow your existing skills or find a new passion while walking through Artistic Alley.

July 21 - 25: Tropical Treks

Tropical rainforests like the Amazon are so dense that we continue to find new species even to this day. This week we dive into the wild and vast landscapes of the tropical world. What have we uncovered and what is still to be found?

August 5 - 8: Raiders of the Lost Artifact (Short Week)

Only 10% of a museum’s collection is visible to the public with the rest carefully stored away. Become a Jr. Curator this week, explore the hidden mysteries of the WCMA and work with our staff to curate your very own pop-up exhibit!

August 11 - 15: Enchanted Forest - WEEK FULL

Take chances, make mistakes and get messy while exploring the enchanted world. With magic spells, and potion making, there is always something to discover!

Explore the world around you this week as we hike through the trails, visit the gorge and discover what the natural world has to offer.

January 24, 2025: A Winter Wonderland

Explore the wonders of the winter season with snowman building, ice painting and a snowshoe hike! After a hard day's work, it's always great to celebrate by baking cookies and drinking a hot cup of cocoa.

How to Register

  1. Read the Parent Handbook.
  2. Complete online Registration Form.
  3. Complete the Medical and Allergy Information Form (as needed).

Commonly Asked Questions

  • PA Day Camp registration opens in the first week of September and is based on the Upper Grand District School Board Calendar
  • Summer Camp registration opens in the first week of March
  • Registration is open for Campers ages 6 to 10
  • Regular programming is from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Drop-off is from 8:30 to 9:00 am
  • Pick up is from 4:00 to 4:30 pm
  • Early drop-off, 8:00 to 8:30 am, and late pick-up, 4:30 to 5:00 pm, available
