As part of this year's Welcoming Week we have extended our Poor House Tours!
Before we were the Wellington County Museum and Archives, we were the House of Industry and Refuge, or the County Poor House. Join us to discover the stories and lives of the people that worked and lived in the Poor House from 1877 - 1946 in this guided tour through the museum. How was someone admitted to the Poor House, what happened when you arrived, how was the House managed and how were the Poor House inmates looked after?
